The glow of the wood-fired oven, which takes centre stage at Divido, is not only warming, it's pretty damned sexy. Add great lighting and a warm chocolate brown colour scheme, and you have a lovely space for dining a deux.

What a disapointment
We recently booked a night at Divido after reading reviews and hype with this new little place and thought we would try our luck! But we were very disapointed with so much of the night we will not go back! here's why, Starters $25, Mains $37 small and boring! served with no sides, they are extra like truffle mash for $8 but when we got it no truffles in it! nice one! $10 for a bottle of still water! are you kidding me! I don't think i have ever paid more than $7. If this was a restaurant that was close to the standards of others I could understand but it fails big time!!!! What a shame, looks like I will be eating at the good old favorites where Italian food is done to perfection!

One of the best meals I have had!
All 6 of us went on the dego menu.
I am a lacto ovo vegetarian and asked the chef when we booked if they could do a vegie dego menu, as the rest of the table wanted to go on the regular dego menu.
Thankfully they agreed. What a wonderful meal. I was served heirloom vegetables from the chefs' own garden. I would definitely recommend Divido's to prospective diners.
Yum!

Very Disappointed
My wife and I had been looking forward to this dinner for some time as we had heard and read good reviews. The items we chose from the menu sounded fantastic but were bland, un-flavoursome and ultimately overpriced. For the record we had the wood-roasted half duck and the pasta with veal.
If there was a positive, the service was very good.

I read a flattering review of this restaurant in a local newspaper and decided to try it for myself. The food was terrible! I had the wood oven roaster Dorper lamb and it was terrible. The meat was way overcooked and was a shade of grey.

An absolute pleasure
I was very impressed with my dining at Divido, marketing itself as a modern European restaurant. From the moment I walked through the doors of this small eatery, I felt instantly welcomed by staff. The menu consists of an extravagant antipasto and pizza selection as well as a small but perfectly concocted main menu.
We started with the antipasto menu, selecting the cabbage rolls (who does Ukrainian food anymore!), just like my grandma makes them, as well as calamari rings. For mains I had the special which was rabbit with hot beets and spiced sausage, my dining partner had the pork belly with wilted spinach. As the kitchen is small there was a wait for each course however it was undoubtedly worth it, as each dish consumed was of the highest quality and presentation.
We chose a hearty red from Rioja. The wine list does mainly consist of European wines and without any knowledge could prove difficult for some, however the staff has intimate knowledge of all products and I would recommend enlisting their help.
There is also a degustation dinner on 21st August. I happened to see the last menu for the June dinner, which looked incredible. I'll certainly be back at Divido next month!

A great place to get a good Pizza
The pizzas are fantastic - very authentic, as is the coffee. Good service but the wine list is a little steep.
Also highly recommend it for breakfast, they have great ricotta pancakes.

After debating the merits of buying an unknown Italian, French or Spanish wine costing between $50 and $80 per bottle to accompany our $20 pizza we were told it would cost $19 corkage per bottle for BYO.
