Dispense with whatever preconceptions you may have about the fine-dining scene in Bendigo, this fabulous noshery will have you believe it's cloistered away down one of Melbourne's many cobble-stoned laneways.
The food on offer is a regional and seasonal affair, with a slew of ingredients, such as the chorizo sausage, made on the premises. There's also an amiable selection of renowned and boutique wines available, many of them by the glass.
The Dispensary offers diners the added bonus of being open for breakfast. Breakfast offerings may include free-range eggs, prepared to your liking, while an all-day menu proffers homely and soulful delights such as pork meatballs in tomato sauce.

An unsatisfactory dinner experience
Getting past the pre-dinner drinks was an obstacle. With the benefit of hind site We should have left then. The food was overpriced and mediocre.
