They are two of the world's most beloved cuisines, so it was only a matter of time before someone came along and successfully managed to combine them.
A mix of Italian and Indian food may seem a bizarre concept, but on closer inspection the two share several traits that lend a certain credence to their culinary fusion. Sure, there may be aspects of the menu at Digress that jolt some diners from their comfort zone, but therein lies the point of Canberra's newest bar and diner. Digress is, in no uncertain terms, here to push the boundaries, and in this respect it does an admirable job while still providing a great dining experience to its customers.

The whole experience is a delight to the senses
I went with my partner to celebrate a friends hens party. I have eaten from both the Indian inspired tapas menu and the restaurant menu. The tapas is a mouthwatering Indian inspired feast. I love the minty dipping sauce. The restaurant menu was chock full of tempting delights with all my favourite foods - pizzas, pastas, risottos and salad....plus the divine fetta stuffed naan! The dessert menu offers an assortment of tantalising goodies. The whole experience is a delight to the senses - from the food, to the service, to the decor and the atmosphere. The staff arer only too willing to assist and the manager/owner is a hands on, talented young lady who makes dining at Digress a pleasure.

indian italian fusion? yes please.
i feel like i have been waiting all my life for someone to combine the cuisines of italy and india. and it has been worth the wait. had tapas at digress last night. different, delicious, beautifully presented and great service. highly recommended. can't wait to return to try the restaurant food. :)
