Innovatively named after a classic Beatles song, Dig A Pony is galloping its way into the hearts and minds of Yarraville locals by way of their tastebuds and tummies. And what a way that is! Head chef Luis Naval-Aguilar, from Middle Park's lauded Spanish tapas restaurant, Santiago, heads up the kitchen, serving up tapas treasures like baked mushrooms with prosciutto and goat's cheese, and minted lamb meatballs in sherry and tomato sauce. Like the eclectic menu, the space is filled with various styles of seating, from lounges to low stools to bar stools to regal armchairs, so you're sure to find your fit.

Digging this place!!
For those of you who know the fabulous Yarraville village may not have found this hidden gem - has only been open a short time, but is a fantastic addition to the range of places to eat there. As soon as we walked in we thought 'this is our kind of place' - lounges mixed with tables, a cosy, character filled room (was once the old Bluestone Hotel), and a relaxed vibe. The food is a great blend of tastes from across the Mediterranian - tapas treats galore. Our favourites were the scallops, croquettes and the braised chicken.... we love tapas for the fact that you can have a mini degustation menu all to yourselves! Highly recommend this place for the food, wine and the atmosphere - hit a home run in our books, and we'll be back!
