Charmingly housed in the old Steam Mill Bakery, Dhaba at the Mill is a particularly ambient curry house and wine bar in the provincial Victorian town of Kyneton, around an hour or so's drive from Melbourne. The cavernous dining room sets a fittingly earthy tone, with warm, wooden textures covering the tables, chairs, roof beams and pillars.
Once you've made yourself at home, picked out a wine from the wine rack (or brought your own favourite vino), it's time for the curries. Dhaba changes its dishes regularly to include various regional Indian styles, so you may find anything from okra masala to Punjabi chole (stewed chickpeas in a mango and pomegranate curry) to the cross-regional Thali platters that allow for a taste of all of the day's curries with added rice, papadums and an alcoholic beverage.

what a fantastic experience at Dhaba at the Mill Kyneton and Woodend!
Well...where do I start. Last Sunday four of us went for our first meal with Dhaba and we have not stopped talking about it since. We went for the $20.00 per head meal so that we could sample the ambiance, and the curries...and it was fantastic. The atmosphere with the music and Bollywood film as a backdrop, the cosy tables, the charming staff...and those delicious curries!!!So impressed were we,that we decided to sample the mobile curry van in Woodend on Friday night,as we actually live in Woodend. It did not disappoint and we will be using it again often! Our family favourites were the samosas, and the buttered chicken curry, and moist tastey naan bread. There were no down points for either venue and would score a 10/10 on all counts.
