Always good
Always love the refuel breakfast, but change the fried tomatoes to haloumi with lemon. Branched out on the last visit and had the breakfast souffle, which was amazing, although could have done with a touch more hollandaise.

Good, unobtrusive service.

Too Salty
I have had breakfast at Depot numerous times before and have always had a great time. On this occasion though, our meal fell well short of expectations. We all ordered juices, coffees and the refuel (big brekkie). Whilst I had my eggs poached, the other two in my party had scrambled eggs. They were inedible. Way too over salted and horrible and rubbery. The bacon was greasy and pools of oil filled our plate. One of our group didn't get his coffee and had to approach the bar after drinks and our breakfasts had been delivered to advise them. It was not a busy Sunday morning, and the service was slow and sloppy to say the least.

Do they even care?
Although I can't complain about the atmosphere, I was sorely disappointed with just about everything else.

When we arrived, we were a fairly large party. We initially sat at two tables, but were informed that if we were willing to wait a large table would be available within five minutes. Although the table did become free in this time, we waited for half an hour because the staff forgot to move us.

Once there, we were given the menu and the waitress was friendly and cheerful. However, when she came back we ordered an entree and she promptly followed this by taking our menus and leaving. We had to call her back to order our mains.

We ordered a bottle of red wine and the waitress could not open it properly. Fearing cork in the wine, we had to do it ourselves.

We had finished our mains before we were offered bottles of water.

The tapas is approximately $12 a plate; which although high for tapas would have been acceptable however, you receive only three small portions of different items on each plate. Not enough to even share the experience.

The main itself was lacklustre. I had the lamb and my partner the fish. Although the actual meat of the lamb was well done, there was little of interest to say about the sauce and added condiments. The fish was dry and tasted like chicken.

During this time the waitress had also placed our orders incorrectly and we received several doubles of some dishes. Although we were assured that this would not show up on the final bill, this was not the case. We had to chase down a manager to get it removed.

All in all, my partner and I spent around $100 on the full meal; entrees and main. No drinks. Although I have certainly spent more on food and will continue to do so in the future, I cannot help but feel that at that price, the depot could have tried harder.

OH MY GOD
When i arrived i learnt that both the tapas and mains menus had been re-vamped....boy we weren't disapointed.
The waitress and the manager both seemed very excited by what they were offering (something very rare in Brisbane). Everything was explained friendly and proffesionally. The tapas was a gastronomical feast...and the mains were just as good if not better...do your self a favour and order the eye fillet..a. bit pricey but worth every cent...it melts in your mouth...My partner had the squid spaghetti..and didnt shut up about it....until dessert arrived. The banana souffle was dripping with butterscotch sauce...AMAZING.
This is a place not to be missed...yes it is a little expensive...but the friendly attentive staff, the atmosphere and the experience you recieve is 5 star at a 4 star price...i have no quams in recommending depot to anyone i know.

Food ok but can't help the weather
The atmosphere and ambiance was perfect for a meal and catch up with friends.
The staff were very attentive and patient with our group of indecisive dinners.
We selected tapas to start which were ok however everyone made comment that their mains were on a much more enjoyable.
The real problem was that it was rather chilly and unfortunately there is no where to shelter unless you are directly under a heater.

The best!
I absolutely love Depot! Breakfast is the best (great breakfast pizza) and the menu is interesting and constantly changing which keeps things exciting, but it still keeps the popular favorites. Plus you can mix and match the side dishes to make your perfect breakfast. And the price may seem like a lot but the servings are massive and they use free-range quality ingredients! The service is always great with happy friendly staff and great management which make you feel right at home. The tapas menu is exquisite and very modern which keeps Brisbane restaurants up there with the rest of the world! The mushrooms are scrumptious and the wagyu beef with truffle foam and poached egg are divine. Can you tell I'm a little obsessed? You have to try it!

It's ok
We had a Saturday morning breakfast at Depot and found it to be ok but very very expensive for what it was. The food was good however my partner had the waffles with mascapone and berries and unfortunately the mascapone was the size of a 5c piece so not enough to spread over the two waffles. Service was good, nothing to rave about.

Trendy
Sure the food was okay, but the experience was miserable. Despite booking for 10am, we weren't seated till 10:20. Then we were moved 10mins after that. Forcing my mother to sit on a stool with no back rest. Then we ordered drinks, and two came out saying they had run out of one of the ingrediants, and just left the juices there, didn't even give us a chance to change our order. Two people at another table asked for some salt and pepper shakers, so the waiter just turns around, doesn't say anything to us and reaches into the middle of the table and takes ours when there were two empty tables next to us which he could've taken them from. Cutlery was set on the wrong side of each person. When our food had finally arrived, sausages were missing from some, and mushrooms from others. When all but one of us had finished, the waiter came and cleared all the plates but hers. Reaching across other friends to pick up another persons plate. We had to get up to ask for water.

Best breakfast in Brizzie
We ate breakfast here before flying home to England. What a fantastic way to finish our trip to Oz. Amazing big and delicious eggs Benedict, and fantastic fresh fruit juices. Loved the outdoor/indoor feel of the place. Loveliest waiters who made us really wish we were staying in Oz forever. I'd love to go back and have a lunch or dinner at this little gem in Fortitude Valley.
