This Carlton North bakery is just one of what will be a host of George Christopoulos's ventures throughout Melbourne.
The premise is based on the bread depots in tiny, regional communities of France too small to have their own bakery - a requirement by French law. With this in mind, expect freshly baked breads and pastries of the highest quality. Well-executed cafe fare augments the baked goods here, while a choice selection of artisan cheeses rounds out offerings. The only thing that could make this place any better would be a liquor license, which should be arriving in the post any day now.
