A suburban gem tucked away in Curtin, Delissio is certainly worth the drive for those not in the immediate vicinity. It has been booked out most nights since it first opened - a testament to the strong market for such an establishment in the area. On first arriving, one's eye is drawn to the neat, greenery-fringed alfresco area, ideal for Sunday brunch. This deck flows into a modern dining room with plenty of vibrant colour. Contemporary tables and chairs give the space a clean, uncluttered feeling, while the fittings, artwork and particularly the lights contribute a funky edge.
The entrees are an international mix with dishes such as the popular Creole-spiced calamari with a blue cheese and cayenne aioli. The menu goes on to offer a large range of pizzas, pastas and risotto, as well as hearty main meals such as chicken gumbo and kangaroo rump. Open on public holidays for dinner only.

No food
My wife and I have had a number of very positive experiences here. The food has always been excellent, even if the service is perhaps a little under par, and the delivery of food too slow.
On this occassion, we arrived on time for a 6:30pm booking and ordered shortly afterwards. At 8:00pm we had finished our bottle of wine and our entree's had still not arrived so we left. Not sure if I will bother going back.

Delissio
We had made reservations, but weren't told that most of the restaurant was booked for a function, we were seated by the door - regular blasts of freezing Canberra winter air as the guests arrived then crowded in by all the guests standing around our table. Food was good, but blasted by cigarette-scented cold air as guests went out to smoke. Staff didn't care, so I won't go again. Find somewhere else.

OK, but nothing special
Dinner here was a bit disappointing. Maybe I shouldn't complain for $17, but my tortellini left something to be desired. The cheap no frills packet pasta that they made it from was not very satisfying.
I then decided to have a desert; it came very highly recommended from the waitress (who was friendly enough). Sweet ricotta dumplings. They were actually the most expensive dessert on the menu that night at $14. What I got were sugar, flour and water balls of dough chopped off the end of a sausage of dough (not actually dumplings at all and certainly didn't contain much ricotta) in a green food colouring sugar sauce with a little scoop of ice cream. It was chewy and way too sweet! I must admit though; they were very nice about it and didn't charge.

Inconsistent
I ate at Delissio Braddon for dinner with a group of friends twice in the space of a few weeks. The first time we found the dishes vibrant and good value for money yet the next time we went the food was dull and disappointing. I really had high hopes for the place after our first experience but I'm sorry to say we won't be going back.

A real gem hidden in Curtin
I have had breakfast here on a few occasions and would highly recommend it. The coffee is great as is the range on the menu and specials board. Make sure you book so you don't miss out!

Very enjoyable
Had a very enjoyable dinner. The reef and beef was cooked exactly to my liking and the creme brulee was very nice. Only problem with the service was having to open our own Champagne and having to wait so long to order. Will definitely be back to sample more of a very good menu.

A rare gem in a quiet location
Fantastic place to go for dinner, as well as brunch on a Sunday morning. All of the food I have tried has been sensational. Only minor critism is that it can be quite loud when busy given some poor accoustics. This is definitely negated by the food and service.

Always great
I have eaten at Delissio on many occasions - from a romantic dinner for two to a large group function - and it has always been great. The owner is always there making sure that everything is running smoothly and that everyone is happy. The staff is very good and the food is tasty and well priced. I'd recommend it to anyone.

FANTASTIC
I have eaten here numerous times over the past six months for brunch, lunch, dinner and also takeaway meals. The food is always delicious, fast and filling...always at reasonable prices! The service is friendly and while the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. Personal favourites include the Delissio pizza, the option of the past/risotto selection of 3 choices for only $19, + fantastic lime caprioskas! Sunday brunch on the outdoor deck is a must for the lazy Sunday mornings! Love the local location, it's great to have good quality food and service hidden away in the suburbs!
