The latest venture from Con Dedes, co-owner of Sydney dining institution Flying Fish, this mod-Oz cafe boasts some of the best views to be found in Sydney, and food to match.
Being situated right on the Woolwich Dock means the breathtaking views abundantly available at the Deckhouse are enough to make it worth going to, and everything else that follows is a bonus.
The menu starts off with a selection of freshly-shucked Sydney rock oysters - served either natural with flying fish roe and lemon ice, or tempura-battered with shiso dressing and wasabi flying fish roe. It keeps doing everything right with starters such as a country-style pork and duck terrine entree, and a grass-fed scotch fillet from the main offerings. A succinct but well-rounded and thoughtful wine menu rounds out the offerings at the Deckhouse, so all that's left to do is sit back and enjoy some high-end fare and world-class views.
