With opening hours to put most convenience stores to shame, Dae Jang Kum is one of those restaurants that make up the heart and soul of Sydney's thriving Chinatown.

Korean barbecue is the specialty here and it doesn't come any better than the classic combo of pork belly and kimchi sizzling away on the table in front of you.

If DIY isn't your thang then never fear, DJK has plenty of other options to satisfy. Chances are if you're taking advantage of the late opening hours here then you'll want to head for the an-ju menu, otherwise known as all the food that goes great with booze. Grab some spicy deep fried chicken and take a trip to Korea with some baekseju, a spicy, ginseng-flavoured fermented rice tipple.
