This is one of the most popular restaurants in Hobart so booking is a must. The menu is simple but very satisfying, featuring fresh house-made pastas and sauces in a southern Italian style, and both traditional and original gourmet pizzas. Very Average !!
Sorry but, I agree with "hobartfoodie". I was told it is one of hobarts best restaurant. But I have to say my food was below average. Boring/flavorless not a meal worth paying for. The service was execellect by the waiter person. But the food was very poor and boring. I will not give them another try.

Very busy, book day in advance, but well worth the persistence. Delicious fresh ingredients.

Poor Tasmanians
They say it's the best place in Hobart, I feel sorry for the locals as they obviously have no choice in restaurants or they just simply have no idea. I found the food expensive, and ordinary at best. The prawn special was stodgy and uninsipiring. The panacotta was woeful. Unset - it was a wobbling mess - no quality chef would have allowed that out of their kitchen. I think their pizzas are reliable, but what's more reliable is takeaway. Dinner service is standard, as you would expect at any restaurant. Nothing great at all.

Dinner at Da Angelo's
Absolutely amazing! Service is wonderful and they're always on the ball considering how busy it always is. Excellent staff all round. The food is truly...mouthwatering. The gnocchi is made fresh on the premises each day. Stunning Italian! This is a must-visit restaurant that everyone must get to!

Fantastic food, atmosphere and service
Da Angelo is among Hobart's best restaurants. On the occasions I have visited, the food has been consistently excellent, the atmosphere bustling and convivial and the service friendly, relaxed and efficient. Their chicken and brie pizza is a Hobart institution!

The best Italian food ever
The best homemade food ever. I'm from melbourne, this is a superb restaurant in Hobart. No matter what we ordered, gourmet traditional dishes never left us disappointed. I would go back to Hobart only for this restaurant! Fantastic impression, great service!

Magnificent Italian restaurent
My wife and revisited this restaurant after 7 years. It was superb again, principally due to (a) having smaller servings available (b) a superb meal and (c) friendly, efficient, service (particularly from Sam, the newest staff member). In general, there was good teamwork from all staff members and the atmosphere was a very happy one. Congratulations to all concerned. We will certainly return.

Night out with some friends
I always enjoy Da Angelo's. The food's fantastic - in my opinion, the best Italian in Hobart. It's always busy and difficult to get a table, but you can always take your meal away. Food quality is tastefully consistent and they don't have a bad wine list either. Desserts are pretty good too. BYO is especially great for a girl's night out! Overall, a great night out!

Best Italian
Not much more to say about Da Angelo's except - go there, book early, if you can't get a booking - do take-out. You'll not be disappointed - the best Italian I've ever had in Tassie! They are always busy - but you never feel rushed.
