Forget classic pub-grub - this family-style establishment is far more gastro-pub, with culinary offerings such as lamb rump with Ras el Hanout cous cous, brocollini and saffron yoghurt or Tasmanian salmon with a jackfruit lime sambal, pea puree and snow pea sprouts. Those after a steak won't be out of place - especially with the variety of grain-fed Angus beef on offer, which is aged for 21 days - but the restaurant here offers patrons a place to dine in a quiet and comfortable setting, far away from the din of barmaids pulling pints and the bright glare of television lights.
