Well known as one of the best Indian restaurants around, Curry Charmers is (luckily for locals) still a relatively undiscovered gem, though it does an increasingly roaring trade in its delicious takeaway curries. Owner and chef Adand is a warm, hospitable presence in the restaurant, making dining in here a treat not only for its aromatic, full-flavoured, classic Indian cuisine but for its relaxed, welcoming vibe. Hot picks include the murgh badam pasanda (marinated diced chicken cooked in a tandoori oven in a creamy almond sauce), bhuna gosht (lamb curry with diced onion, capsicum and pepper, fenugreek and a dash of lemon juice - Adand's speciality), and the Goan fish curry.
