best views and seafood
If you want your visitors to experience a spectacular Darwin sunset and a gentle harbour breeze, Crustacean's is the place to take them.

My oysters were excellent. The chowder was so-so. My husband bugs were a better choice. Staff were attentive and unobtrusive.

Who ever said Darwin is too hot without airconditioning - has never dined at the wharf!

The place was packed but there was a gentle breeze which made for a very pleasant evening. I will take my visitors there again - soon I hope.

One of the best sea food meals we have had
Good service, nice atmosphere & great food
Dinner for two - Sea food plater for one, Bugs with creamy garlic sauce & a bottle of Chardonnay
Not the cheapest but well worth it !!!

Outstanding
This is our second visit and the second time we have had outstanding food, service and atmosphere. We both had barramundi with different seasonings cooked to perfection, the garnish enough not to warrant side dishes, the size more than ample (my wife was unable to finish her meal). The wine list was comprehensive and reasonably priced. To be able to dine and watch the sun set while dolphins frolic 10 metres away and boats alight with running lights sail by, this is a true dining experience.

The worst meal of my life
I was really looking forward to going to a seafood restaurant while in Darwin and the hotel recommended this one. My meal was without a doubt the worst I have ever had. The waiter informed me that it was a new menu and asked me what I thought and I told him! I had barramundi which was on a bed of semi-sundried tomatoes and artichoke hearts which was identical to what I would purchase from Coles. The fish was dry and supposedly in a macadamia crust (not), the fish was $32.00 and had no lemon/salad and the chips were an extra $4.50. I explained to the waiter that when I go out I expect something a bit different/special and that the chef had failed! This is the first time I have ever complained in a restaurant and I believe it was deserved. Do yourself a favour and eat at one of the little takeaways (about $12.00) and sit on a table on the pier.
