There's a dining room at the front, and a rear section featuring long banquettes and lounge chairs in golds and browns on polished floorboards and an antique baccarat crystal chandelier. The substantial cocktail list boasts concoctions such as an apple and sage martini. Tapas and mezze menus are available during the day and well into the evening.

Sunday breakfast
I must admit, I was a little sceptical initially when my guest asked to try here for breakfast as I usually associate the CruBar with Saturday night cocktails and the venue for my office Christmas party 2008.
I was pleasantly surprised with a very nice blue cheese and mushroom omelette and my guest enjoyed her meal. We were quite early so avoided the crowds however the food did take a while to be cooked. The waitress was efficient and friendly and I wouldn't hesitate to return. Though, to see people drinking red wine next to us at 9am on a Sunday morning felt a bit strange.

Great wines, unfriendly service
I want to like Cru, and I do like their wine list, there's always plenty to drink. The food is good too. The problem is the staff never smile, you can tell they really don't want to be there. Nevertheless the service is still efficient. Definitely somewhere to see and be seen.
