Cosmopolitan Cafe

Stepping through the doors of the Cosmopolitan Cafe it's like the '70s never left - but in a good way, of course. The deco and furniture reflect the better parts of the decade and the atmosphere is friendly and casual, thanks in due part to the welcoming staff. The Italian- influenced menu has daily specials that are largely gluten-free, such as the vegetarian omelette and vegetarian lasagne. A diverse mix of Fortitude Valley folk enjoy dropping into the Cosmopolitan's surprisingly spacious eating area, so just about everyone should feel at home here.

Horrible Experience
A horrible experience at a cafe trying too hard to be 'posh' when the end result is horrible customer service. The two waitresses that served us did not smile once and gave us dirty looks from the moment we walked in. They were rude and obnoxious and questioned us when we ordered coffees, perhaps because we wern't ordering any food. They refused to bring water to the table unless we ordered food and they completely ignored us multiple times when we requested water. We left in extremely angry and inflamed and we will never go near that place again. A cafe that does not value customer service? What rubbish.
