You could browse the bric-a-brac of Coliseum Antiques for hours, but at some point you'll need to take a break. Conveniently, this northern Newcastle antique centre has its own cafe for those moments of much-needed brekkie or lunchtime nourishment. Forget having baked beans at home when you can have Morpeth sourdough spicy fruit and nut toast with jam or butter, or a potato rosti with mushrooms and greens. Later in the day, lunch items present just as much enticement, as you can see in the asparagus and walnut salad with prosciutto, and the lamb burger with tomato, greens and tzatziki on Turkish bread. Like the many antiques on offer here, this cafe is a find.
