Cocolat has been producing mouth-watering cakes and choccies from their Adelaide Hills base since 1992, so it is no surprise that their dessert cafes have huge cult followings. On offer are the trademark cakes, truffles, gelato, hot chocolate and specialty cafe desserts - including the Cocolat fudge cake covered in dark chocolate ganache, wedged between dark chocolate shards and finished with a marble effect, and their take on the lamington, which is a moist chocolate sponge filled with white chocolate champagne mousse, coated in dark chocolate ganache and covered with toasted coconut pieces. The hot chocolates top many Adelaidians' best-ever lists, and with varieties including top deck, white and chilli hot chocolates, it's worth putting one to the test yourself.
