For those bellas and beaus of inner-suburban Brisbane who are in the know, Coco Bella Espresso is a boutique coffee and dining experience now recruiting plenty of New Farm and Ascot locals to its cause. And the cause being? To engage the senses with mouth-watering, seasonal mod-Oz-meets-Italian foods and fresh espressos, teas, juices, smoothies, ice coffees, frappes and, at the New Farm branch only, wines. Also at New Farm is a unique menu containing the likes of spiced warm lamb salad, house-made ricotta gnocchi and a prawn and scampi laksa risotto (one of the various Asian-influenced dishes that pop up here). Coco Bella is quite the cosmopolitan adventure indeed.

Service needs massive improvement
Have been to Coco Bella twice in the last month and each time the service has been pretty average. There doesn t seem to be any structure to who looks after the tables so three different waiters may serve you over the course of your meal. They asked the table next to us if they had already eaten (which they hadn t), made a coffee for one table and someone else already had done so, kept another table waiting 45 mins for their food and when we asked the waiter to explain one part of a dish, she had to go and check with the kitchen. Food is quite nice and the atmosphere/location is quite special and relaxing. Shame about the service.
