This relaxed suburban bistro offers a mix of French, Italian and modern Australian cuisines. The French-style banquettes give it the feel of a city establishment and only the best ingredients are used here with chef Peter Stubbs at the helm. Stubbs' real passion however, is dessert - so be sure to check it out.

Very disappointed
Average and very expensive entrees & Mains. Sofisticated names for simple food. Terrible service. I was waiting for 45 minutes for the Main.

Worth the experience
Cinco Bistro is one the best restaurants in the Brisbane area. The food is wonderful, fresh and fantastically prepared. Service is sharp and professional. As for value for money, you could get a cab from the city and back, have a 3 course meal with wine and still have change compared to other city restaurants. It is worth the experience.

Dessert Delight
We have been going to Cinco's for the last 2+ years, and have not been disappointed yet. Somehow we always manage the full three courses, simply because we can't resist the desserts. If you can't have three full courses I would recommend two entrees and a dessert! I still dream of one concoction that included mousse, jelly, marshmallow and spun sugar, absolutely divine! One of the few restaurant that also manages a good coffee after dinner.

Our favourite restaurant
I have previously submitted a review on here but I have been coming back over the last 2 years since I made my original review and now need to change the rating. This is now our favourite restaurant and come here for every anniversary, birthday or event we can possibly organise just so we can eat here. The service is fantastic if you can get the bald older gentleman to look after you. He knows the answer to every question you could possibly ask him and is great at what he does. The younger staff have let the service down a bit but it's still quite good. The food - starting with the warm bread and chutney is devine. The chutney is fantastic and the texture, flavour and warmness of the bread is wonderful. The cheese and olives are also very good.
The entrees and mains all differ quite distinctly to one another and change around every 3 months. We try and come here to try each new menu. Each time I come here I'm always tossing up between two or three favourite options out of each of the entree's and mains. The choices are always hard but once I've made up my mind I'm never disappointed because the food is always beautiful.
The scallops, mushroom tart, duck, beef and lamb options are always beautiful so if you're unsure go for one of these.
I am usually too full to get to dessert but the few times I've had them I've been very happy. They usually melt in your mouth and leave you forgetting how full you were before you starting eating them and want more.
Overall, Cinco is a very lovely restaurant and the food will not disappoint. We have taken a number of friends here and they've all loved it!
Well done Cinco! See you tonight for dinner ... again!

Bless the Bistro in the burbs!
Very impressed with Cinco's menu and culinary delights. Our entrees, mains and desserts were outstanding. We could not believe how they could create such mouthwatering combinations of food!
Service was pleasant, the food arrived a little too close together for our liking. Dessert was then a long wait due to the place being absolutely packed on a Friday night.
Excellent night out for a surburban bistro and we will definitely be going again to try more of their gorgeous food. Keep it going Cinco!!

Great food, great service
Really, nice place to eat. We've eaten there twice now, and both times have walked away very satisfied. Food is a tad expensive, portion sizes leave you feeling satisfied. Overall, highly recommended.

Wow
I have recently been travelling overseas throughout Malaysia, Paris and London - This would have to be by far my favourite place to dine by far!
The food is always absolutely divine, extremely well presented and always the most amazing combinations!
We are always served complimentary fresh bread while waiting for our meals.
I bring everyone I know here and they are surprised to find dining of this calibre in the suburbs.
Service is phenomenal, although the venue generally boasts a full house we have always been attended to as if we were the only diners present.
Desserts are always superb. I have never been disappointed in any way possible!
Pricing is a little more than most suburban dining venues but I would be comfortable paying double for my meals with the quality foods, fresh ingredients and amazing service!

Disappointing
We have dined at Cinco before approx 5 months ago and thought the food, atmosphere & service was amazing. It became one of our favourite restaurants. This time however, I was very disappointed in the food. Both entrees my husband and I had were good but not worth the $18.50 we paid. I had a mushroom tart with a beautiful sauce but $18.50 for mushrooms and some pastry is very disappointing. Vegetarian options should definitely be cheaper considering my husband had prawns for the same price. Both entrees were nice though. For mains I had chicken that had an Indian-type sauce which was very peppery and strong. After the first mouthful I could not eat anymore and my husband luckily would swap his meal with mine but did not like the chicken at all either. The other main was the fish of the day which was snapper on cauliflower and had a mornay sauce. The sauce was bland and the whole meal was fairly simple. Definitely again not worth $32. We ended up spending $150 on meals here and even told the hostess we weren't very happy and were told she'd tell the chef but overall it was not worth the money.

Hail to the suburbs
Fantastic food. Recently dined at Aria in Sydney and Cinco in my opinion was much much better. Well done Cinco.
