Churrasco

Fans of the good old Aussie backyard barbeque will love this more adventurous Brazilian variation. Churrasco (pronounced shoo-has-ko) is a style of barbecue where, instead of just chucking it on the hotplate, the meat is carefully roasted on long skewers over a pit of flaming coals. Here you pay $30 to receive all the meat you could possibly want, which is brought out to you by the staff and neatly sliced, sizzling hot, straight onto your plate. When you feel you've satisfied your carnivorous cravings, salads, roasted vegetables and barbequed haloumi cheese are also available.

Beautifully roasted meat, a real deal.
Churrasco Coogee is one of the pioneers Brazilian BBQ restaurants in Sydney.

Beautifully roasted meat served with an modern aussie interpretation shown through the different marinades. It is just tasty home style, fulfilling food with a fancy touch. Brilliant.

It is not just meat. I love the salads, beautiful dressings, inexpensive, enough for 4.
I doubt you will leave room for dessert but the Banana BBQ with butterscoth sauce and ice cream is to die for.

The atmosphere is exciting. Very nice deco. The staff is friendly. Sometimes, it can be kind of noisy. During the busy nights the staff struggle a bit to feed some desperate hungry customers, the biggest fans of the all you can eat.

Perhaps, I wouldn't rush. There is no way you can try everything in one go. It's a lot. Cheap by what you get, a real deal.

Beers are a perfect match, although they offer a large range of wines and outstanding cocktails. Thumbs up for Capiroska and Mojito.

You've got to like meat
This is a place for meat-eaters - vegetarians, vegans or piscitarians need not apply. There's a good supply of the meat, generally meltingly tender and very tasty. I've been twice now and it was good both times - but you have to like meat and plenty of it. It's very noisy though, and dark so the ambience doesn't work for me and is not really the place to go if you actually want to talk to someone. The service was okay, but it was largely required waving arms about (I think that's because it was dark!).
