San Churro was a Spanish monk who was dedicated to sharing the gift of chocolate. That savvy monk was clearly onto a winner, so it's no wonder his namesake franchise has spread like wildfire. This temple to the dark stuff needs no advertising beyond the heady scent of chocolate that lures anyone sauntering past on Glebe Point Road. The specialty here is churros, the doughnut-like Spanish dessert, dipped in liquid chocolate. Joining this decadent snack on the menu are truffles, thick Spanish hot chocolate and similarly decadent choc-based snacks. San Churro is open late to catch the post-dinner and post-theatre crowds; wrap up a night out with their dessert tapas plate for two, which combines the signature churros with a selection of sweet menu highlights.

Delicious but seriously overpriced
This is one of my favourite places but I recently noticed that they are reducing the size and number of churros that they give you for the same price. Trying to pull the wool over our chocolate-dipped-bread craving eyes.
