Named after a Spanish monk who espoused the healing qualities of chocolate in the 1500s, this Spanish dessert cafe could be said to possess similar qualities in the realm of instant culinary gratification. Yes, Chocolateria San Churro is a phenomenon all right, one that has swept the east - and now west - coast of Australia into a veritable frenzy over mouth-watering traditional Spanish sweets. The main attraction is churros, or Spanish doughnuts, which you dip into a pot of seriously indulgent melted couverture chocolate. You couldn't find a better location for this delicious cafe than on Freo's frothy Cappuccino Strip.
