Chinta Ria, Temple of Love

Fashioned on a Malaysian temple, this busy harbourside restaurant reflects some of the bustle of Asian streetlife. A giant Buddha watches benevolently over this heavenly restaurant. The atmosphere is far from traditional, the dishes on the menu are modern Malaysian, and a DJ plays most nights.

Love the Temple of Love...
When we arrived, there was a line outside the Chinta Ria waiting for the doors to open at 6pm. Surely this was a sign of the good food to come. It certainly was! It was such a pleasure to dine here and we'll definitely be back.

The service was genuine, friendly and efficient yet subtle and not overpowering. It was perfect. The food didn't disappoint Chinta Ria's menu is unique and delicious. And there are still old favourites like rendang and satay.

The dim lights and beautifully designed interior make this the perfect dining experience. Just one point worth mentioning - it was a little chilly sitting near the windows, wear something warm (or bring a jacket). But don't let this put you off. A bit of chill is worth it!

It was a lovely evening - we ll be back.
