The food was as good as the welcome - authentic, energetic, and genuine.
We dropped in on Chinta Ria Jazz for an early dinner on the way to a concert in the city, and have discovered a new favourite! It's a nice, relatively small restaurant, which seems to be a well-run family affair.
The variety in the menu was very wide, and prices were spot-on. Fresh, crisp vegetables, light flavoursome sauces, which weren't too heavy or salty as some can be.
The serving sizes were surprisingly generous so much so that we ordered one too many dishes! The home-made spring rolls were probably the best we've ever tasted, the Daging Ria (wok-tossed beef with ginger) fantastic, and the fish curry was light and had a rich diversity of spices.
All in all, a great night.
