Chesser Cellar

The very urbane Chesser Cellar is widely known as the most club-like restaurant in Adelaide. It is frequented by suits who look right at home in the immaculate wood-panelled, multi-levelled restaurant. The buffet is a perennial favourite and the wine list is lavishly gratuitous.

Great place to hide for lunch with friends!
I hadn't been here before but had heard a lot about it, particularly the "adelaide club" references to it.

I'm glad we booked because otherwise we'd have not got a table.

The staff were comfortable to be around up front which is not something I've ever referenced! They were really nice, helpful, attentive and professional.

The wine list was great and the menu plentiful of options. We all (3 of us) chose something different and the food we had was absolutely delicious. We were having such a good time here we ordered another bottle of wine and settled in for the afternoon.

The manager was very lovely and seemed to work the whole room (both of them) and he is clearly adored by his patrons and also was by us. He even got us complimentary espresso's at the end of our meal before we left. This restaurant is old school hospitality and quality food and brilliant service - and the price is very reasonable.

We will definitely return.
