The spin-off eatery from Morley's award-winning Chatters Cafe & Restaurant, this Asian fusion eatery is a thoroughly contemporary dining addition to the Midland Gate Shopping Centre. Cloaked in crimson, white and mahogany hues, Chatters displays designer style without being pretentious, offering a casual environment suited to families, groups of friends, and couples alike. The menu encompasses the best of various Asian styles of cuisine, including Chinese, Indonesian, Thai, Japanese, Singaporean and Malaysian. From seafood laksa to jungle curry lamb to Szechuan squid, the menu certainly can't be faulted on its diversity.

Great Place!
I have been to Chatters quite a few times now and will often pick it if I am wanting to catch up with a friend for a quick dinner but don't want to spend a lot of money. I am yet to have a bad experience at Chatters.
The atmosphere and decor' of the restaurant is modern and very comfortable however it could do with a little more (or louder) background music as at quiet times (which isn't often) it is easy to hear what those sitting near you are talking about.
The Menu is extensive and the staff are happy to help if you want to ask questions about a specific dish or make alterations. Food and drinks arrive quickly and taste great. I'm not an expert on Asian (or any cuisine) so I don't know how authentic it is, but it definitely feels like Modern Asian to me.
When you consider the price you pay for a meal at Chatters you really are receiving an exceptional deal.
I would love to go in future and hire one of the private areas.

Good food!
Had a lovely meal here. The food was served incredibly quickly, despite the restaurant being almost full, and was delicious and piping hot. Lovely fresh vegetables and good quality meat in each dish. We chose the banquet, being a large group, at $25 a head, and found there to be such vast quantities of food! We needed four takeaway containers to take home the leftovers...
The waitress was lovely, very warm and very good at her job. She knew about the dishes and kept us supplied with water etc. The table was cleared after each course and we were given fresh cutlery, crockery and napkins.
Atmosphere was really good, although quite noisy, given the open-air plan and size of the restaurant. The leather-look booths are a great idea for bigger groups, and the private dining rooms would be great for a private gathering.
Loved the food, and noticed a very affordable lunch-time special. Will definately be back!
