"Who's Charlie?" one may ask at first. While the elusive identity of this 'Charlie Lovett' stays under wraps, we can be thankful for the cafe that the mysterious persona has spawned. It's a trendy commercial coffee lounge peppered with couches, benches, poufs and wooden chairs and tables, creating a surprisingly cosy atmosphere that's a nice refuge from the George Street grind outside.
Local workers, uni and TAFE students, tourists and other city-going folk flock to Mr Lovett for freshly baked breads, buns and pastries, tasty gourmet sandwiches, sweet cakes and cookies and, of course, the drinks. The thirst-quenching highlights here include the organic hot and iced chocolates, and the ever-popular freshly roasted coffees. Who knows? You may just Lovett.
