Great service, good food.
We went looking for fish and chips, all the fish and chip places were full and people were waiting for tables, walked past char char and it wasnt that busy so decided to try it out, we sat outside, service was excellent, we had fish and chips and steak, very nice. We ordered a bottle of wine, the owner came out to say the other bottle was warm so gave us another bottle of wine which was more expensive for the same price as the other bottle. Will go back again!

mums night off dinner
Had dinner with family barramundi was excellent could not fault it ,other half enjoyed his prawns ,kids meals scoffed with no complaints.Nice to see that the cheese option was available as a single choice I had Stilton the plate was a bit confused and messy too many extras and not enough cheese dont need dried dates walnuts strawberries uck! A perfectly ripe fig or a pink lady apple a little more cheese and water biscuits is all you need! Research your Stilton and try Colston Bassett it is a good cheese!

Great steaks
Had the rib eye steak for lunch, was delicious and cooked perfect! We sat outside overlooking the boats. Waiters were friendly and good to see the guy who's running the place even serve us as well. we will definetly go back!

Dinner was great
Great. Took the family out. Service great, as usual. Sat outside, looking out on the water - very picturesque.
All entrees and mains were certainly up to scratch. Prices not exorbitant, and food quality met the requisite standard.
Special mention for the bloke running the place. Fascinating to see him in action. He takes a particular spot most of the time (when not running around himself), and you can see his eagle eye at work, ensuring everyone's being looked after. It really works.
We'll go again ... and again.

Beautiful view and great staff.
I have been to this restaurant once before and was impressed with all sectors. The steaks are always well cooked and well presented and the staff has also been very helpful even with special requests. I will go here again!

Definitely no next time
Me and my partner went there on a Saturday evening. The restaurant was pretty empty. The steak I ordered was below average which I was disappointed as they have claimed themselves to be experts on steak. My partner ordered a barramundi grilled fish and it was so so only.
The foods are overpriced with average quality only.

Overpriced food and bad presentation
I am a gourmet chef and a food lover. I was recommended to Char Char Bull in Fremantle. We were told to be there at 6.30pm and arrived promptly. The service was good. For entree I had the smoked salmon which is overpriced for its value and quality. I had the ribeye beef for main which was tough and very poorly presented, again highly overpriced. It was a disappointing evening for all 4 of us.

Hmm
went there for dinner and like previous reviewer had booked days earlier to be told only 3 times were available - 6, 6.30, 8.30pm. Chose 6.30pm and when we got there, we were the only ones in the restaurant bar a few outside. Entrees were ok but the mussels' sauce was very salty. we had 3 different steaks all meant to be medium but came out and were black on the outside. Could taste the blackness. Good service but the food leaves a bit to be desired.

Impressive name, average resturant
I choose this restaurant for a place to eat lunch for a first date I was having. I made a booking days earlier, only to arrive to an empty restaurant, so not a good first impression. My date's pumpkin soup was quite runny, and my garlic prawns had much cream. Mains didn't get much better - for a place that prides itself on its steak, I ordered a medium rare but got well done. My date's grilled baramundi and garden salad was the high light of the lunch. Atmosphere was lacking, and the only thing that kept us company was the seagulls eating off other people's plates. Service was pretty good though. The date didn't go that well unsurprisingly.

Relaxing lunch
The steak, shanks and steak sandwich were great, though the shanks could have been on a bed of mash as was the steak. The kangaroo was ok - it wasn't the best I have had, the risotto it came with was nice though. Excellent wine list, though the white wasn't very cold. The tasting plate entree was ok, good mixture. Service was fantastic with both waiter and drinks!

Meh
Food: It was tasty, but lacking in portions. Mushroom steak, had three small mushrooms, barely noted. A very very small range of vegan or vegetarian options, which is a minus for the larger groups with a variety of diets.
Service: Lacking. The waiting time was awful, with drinks forgotten. The waitresses provided incorrect information about dishes when it was requested, or vanished without returning with the required information.
Atmosphere: Nice view, but the place can get a bit noisy.

Never again
It's a fantastic setting, and the food itself is good, but it's totally overpriced and the serving sizes for all 10 on our table were a big disappointment. A loud, obnoxious and drunk table were allowed to behave like it was a beer hall. It does not compare other similarly priced restaurants. The $30 tasting plates are the perfect example - beautiful presentation and taste great, but you feel ripped off with what you are actually getting for the price.

Avoid Char Char Bull
Recently attended Char Char Bull - very disappointing!!
First of all told only available booking was at 6.30pm; the restaurant was half empty and remained that way for the rest of the night(not surprised). The service was not only pathetic it was unacceptable. I had to approach staff at the bar and ask for table service - twice. The food arrived late (1 hour after entree) and I would rate as average (cold considering late delivery and half portions). The ambience was cheap (Ikea furnishings)and room was very loud. Upon complaining simply answered with a shrug of the shoulders (again, not surprising giving the gross unprofessional attitude by most of the service staff). Overall not an enjoyable meal.

Char Char Bull
Straight away when we walked in we were greeted with a smile and were ushered to our table overlooking the jetty, which was a beautiful view! We ordered our drinks when were seated but took a while before we received them - no biggie, they were quite busy. The food was to die for! The barramundi and steak just melted away in our mouths! I would absolutely come back and tell everyone we know how our third wedding anniversary was the best dining experience we have ever had! Thank you all for the memories. Bravo!

Any Time Now!
The food was awesome! Once we got it!!!! Even if our portions were half of what the surrounding tables received. We walked in and were seated straight away, then no-one came back to us for an hour, even after frequent trips to the bar requesting service. However they did keep trying to give us other table's drinks, which in hindsight, we probably should have accepted.
But the food, location and atmosphere were great. By the sounds of it, they were just having a bad night.

Succulent Steaks
The steaks here are THE best. They claim that if they don't cook it exactly the way you want it, they will do it again! I've been here three times now and EVERYTIME they have cooked my steak to perfection. Staff are friendly and patient. The location couldn't be better, right on the jetty. My current favourite!
