Sparkling, bubbles, champers - whatever you choose to call it, it's time to pop the cork and drink up, ladies and gentlemen! The inspired choice of name for this Malvern wine bar/gourmet diner, Champagne Darling?, makes a restaurant writer tremble at the prospect of all the possible puns one might use regarding this topic, and thus I'll try to refrain from getting too dizzy on the fizzy witticisms.
Indeed, Champagne Darling? is an effervescent addition to the Glenferrie Road gustatory scene, emanating a Franco-European aura from the majestic walls of wine racks to the vibrant paintings of French countryside and Paris. Similarly, the wine list and food menu traipse across Europe, and in fact, the entire world, with wines from Italy, New Zealand and some regional drops from right here in Victoria. The food menu is divided into "tasting plates", "serious plates" and "desserts", varying from gazpacho with cucumber to fish fillet with spinach and pine nut chutney to chocolate caramel tarte. Now, let's clink our glasses to that.

I've hit the jackpot
We stumbled into this place last night by chance, I have not been to place for that long that just got it right on all accounts. It is a champagne bar with the most amazing French wines, reading the wine list is alittle daunting however not to worry the host will help you, have you ever really had pinot noir that is so soft and yet robust? Just when I thought it couldn't get any better the tapas came out......OH MY GOD generous serves and OH and the flavours!!
