Bohemian, cosy, eclectic and retro, this cute little teahouse is housed in an Edwardian cottage in Kyneton's main street. The main room at the front has a very chilled-out-cafe vibe, while the other smaller rooms are perfect nooks for reading, chatting or just drinking a good cup of chai in peace. Despite the name, it's not all about the chai here - though the house speciality Wet Chai, made with a paste of honey, spices and tea, is a winner. Also on offer are 36 varieties of tea, and even fair trade coffee for the diehards. As well as the drinkables, there's a great, home-style menu of soups, salads, pasta bakes and sandwiches on offer, plus the space doubles as an op shop and gallery, selling retro furniture, bric-a-brac, gifts and jewellery. A visit here will feed the stomach, nourish the soul, and give your interior decorator side a little inspiration too.
