Cha-Chi's Mexican Cantina

Cha-Chi's Mexican Cantina has been in the business of serving people Mexican treats for close to three decades now, so it's pretty safe to say that they know their stuff. The Cantina is brightly decorated with sombreros, ponchos and a sprinkling of regional posters, all of which add that touch of 'I may not be in Mexico but you wouldn't know it from the photo'.

The staff are known for their friendly disposition and service, though on the more popular nights it may help if you take your patience cap along with you. Apart from all the tacos, nachos and burritos you can eat (literally, on 'all you can eat' Mondays and Tuesdays), you're likely to find a good selection of steak and chicken-based dishes on offer. The drinks menu is also fairly extensive with all the favourite Latin exports such as Corona, sangria and margaritas on offer.

Chachis always satisfies!
Best Mexican I've ever had! Well, I have only been to two other places and hated both. I think Chachis have the right balance. Obviously Mexican is fattening anyway, but I find Chachis to be just right, not too greasy. Anyway, it is the best food ever, always satisfied when I go there. The decorations are nice, very warm. But I don't like the new location, there is no parking & it's just weird that it's kind of part of a motel now. And don't go there if you like nice wine cos they don't have any! It is house quality, but still drinkable. I go there for the food alone, it's delicious, and well priced!

great food and service
I cannot speak highly enough about Cha-Chi's. having discovered it a few years ago I have never been disappointed. If you feel like you're in a hurry on a Tuesday or Wednesday there is an inexpensive carousel there for tacos, burrito & nachos. or you can sit down and wait for your grub (that's cowboy talk lol) and it is worth watching for. The staff is great.
margaritas are fantastic, unfortunately it is easy to drink too many. I have been to too many places where they treat you like a spare d*ck at a wedding. I noticed the earliest feedback, would have had to be a moaning yak.

this place is great!!!
My partner and I love mexican food, and after being really disappointed by Monte Zumas, it was great to find somewhere like Cha Chi's. The people are friendly, and its worth the wait on busy nights for the food. And its a kid friendly atmosphere, which is hard to come by at times!!

Great Mexican food
I have enjoyed dining at Cha-Chis for several years, taking friends and family, holding events for my social club, and always enjoyed the evening. I have chosen Cha-Chis to celebrate my birthday on a few occasions.
I've experienced Mexican meals in Santa Fe and Taos, New Mexico, numerous restaurants in Colorado and California, as well as a few in Mexico. Cha-Chis compares very favourably with all of these, and is much better than many. I always enjoy a margarita when dining at Cha-Chis. I may celebrate my next birthday with my family at Cha-Chis later this month, unless we decide on a home venue.
The staff have always been welcoming and accommodating, whatever the occasion.

Worst Mexican I've ever had
I've eaten mexican in theme restaurants in the US (250+ meals); mexican fast food restaurants (Taco Bell, etc. 300+ meals); Genuine mexican roadside cantinas (80+ meals); Home made meals (2,500+ meals). Cha-Chi's is without a doubt the worst mexican I've ever had. Even the margaritas and sangria were undrinkable. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant to anybody as the experience would turn them off what is a great cuisine. Adelaide has other fine Mexican restaurants that are a fine rendition of Mexican food.
