This Indian and Sri Lankan curry house promises traditional recipes done the Brisbane way - that's with fresh local ingredients, and with a smile, too. One of a handful of Ceylon Inn diners in Brissie, this casual eatery enthrals diners with its selection of spicy and sizzling dishes, which include the Tandoori Sizzle plate and the biryani, its rice, meat and stock dappled with not one but 16 spices. If you're feeling less adventurous but just as hungry, you'll find plenty of nourishing nosh among the beef, chicken, lamb, vegetable, seafood and dessert offerings.

Great venue, terrible service and inconsistent food
Great venue, terrible service and inconsistent food quality. We had an early sitting and found the service rushed and inattentive and not friendly. We poured our own wine, and yet had waiters trying to grab our plates while we were still eating our mains. They put our bill on the table without even asking us for coffee or dessert. The mains were really good (very small serves though), however the entree platter was a selection of overcooked, deep fried and similar tasting pakoras, samosas and spring rolls. Awful.

Date Night
Took some friends who are very hard to please and they loved the place, when we told them we were going back, they crashed our date night again!! The food is great, they certainly know their indian. Despite the fact that it is on a busy intersection its atmosphere is very good. The staff are all working very hard to ensure that everyone is taken care of. Occasionally they forget the water or their is a large gap between entre to main, but the entire evening makes up for that. Definitely going back.
