As the sun sets and the moon rises over Half Moon Bay, this cafe and restaurant provides a prime vantage point to glimpse the ever-changing colours of the horizon. Situated in a restored boatshed in Black Rock, Cerberus Cafe Restaurant features a smart upstairs restaurant for Mediterranean/mod-Oz cuisine, and a more informal downstairs kiosk/cafe for takeaway fish and chips and the like. At the restaurant, the morning menu covers classic breakfast delights such as the Cerberus omelette with chorizo, tomato, capsicum and spinach.
Come lunch and dinnertime, the famed seafood platter is an enticing, albeit filling, option, featuring lightly battered dory fillet, garlic prawns, parmesan and herb-encrusted scallops, lemon pepper calamari, smoked salmon, chips, garden salad and house-made aioli. Thankfully, there's a seafood platter for one and two, just in case you need a little help from a friend.
