Whoever said that there weren't reasonable, quick and, most importantly, delicious lunch options in Sydney's CBD has obviously never ventured down Erskine Street to the Central Depot Bakery. Those lucky few who have will know the reward far outweighs and disadvantages; such as the long queue that snakes out of the bakery's front door. Once inside, hungry worker bees and would-be gourmands can feast on delicious offerings such as harissa sausage rolls, a hearty beef pie, or perhaps a lime pickle and chicken pie.

great food - terrible service!!
Coming from France i'm used to eating good bread and queuing in front of the boulangerie to get my baguette. I was happy i found such a place in the CBD, their food is comparable to the average french boulangerie. Now for those who say french are arrogant, I suggest you try and experiment CBD customer service!! The most non-chalent, arrogant, uninterested service I have come accross in sydney - and they are not even french! Well let me tell you, my boulangere in france receives me with a big smile and says thank you when i pay the 90cents for my daily baguette! I wish these guys could improve their service, I would go there everyday not just once a month when I really feel like eating their bread. And shout out to the guy who runs the place, he sets the worse example for his staff.
