You'll know Cafe Gaia immediately by the lush green heritage-listed vines curling around the front of the shady terrace. It's a charming first impression indeed: an overture into a crisp and modern cafe featuring a pristine white lounge, glass tables and interesting sculptures and artworks across the walls.
Gaia is a family-run place, so the style is certainly not without substance, as anyone who enjoys an Allpress Espresso coffee here can attest to. As a cheap eat, Gaia fits the bill with its tasty and affordable piadinas (Italian flatbread rolls), blueberry and ricotta pancakes, roast pumpkin and beetroot salad, and other light foods.
