This artisan bakery/patisserie/espresso bar is a hugely popular spot among early risers - and indeed late risers, too, remaining busy well into the afternoon. Serving up pastries that look, smell and taste like little bites of Europe and a cafe menu of more substantial fare, it has won its popularity for good reason. The Campagnolo is a particular hit with the breakfast crowd, offering two soft-yolked eggs, bacon, homemade chutney with a bit of a kick and Japanese mayo on grilled sourdough. The atmosphere as well as the food is truly European, with Italian music wafting out to the vine-covered courtyard, where you can enjoy the peace along with your ricotta cannoli, raspberry bombolone or whatever freshly baked Italian pastry takes your fancy.
