catalonia
Went to Catalonia for dinner last. The food was as delicious as the last time. Perfect flavours combined with good fresh produce. Unfortunately, like many other Sydney restaurants, you get the feeling you should be grateful to be allowed to dine there. The two waitresses were lovely however a bad attitude oozed from others. The cocktail prices are ridiculous (same price as best restaurants in the east that have killer views etc) and we could not get a jug of sangria at all. Not a jug on the premises apparently.

OK food, overpriced and poor service
As I had just moved around the corner I was looking forward to trying this tapas place. Unfortunately I was disappointed. The very small portions were average at best. The service was poor. As noted below the price is quite ludicrous for what you get, the wine list is comical. Will not go back.

Highly recommended
I went to Catalonia for the first time last night and was very impressed. The food was delicious and I loved the zucchini flowers. The desserts were amazing.
I disagree with the other review that said the serving sizes were too small. My friend and I were very full; we've been to other tapas bars and had tapas in Spain and we thought that the servings at Catalonia were very generous. Loved the cocktails as well and I can't wait to go back.

Great place, poor value
Went there for a Thursday night dinner with some friends. We loved the service, atmosphere and quality of the food, but the quantity was almost a joke. If they improve that we will definitely go back.

I have found my new restaurant
I have just eaten at the new Catalonia restaurant in Kirribilli. My life starts today, what an amazing place to eat modern tapas. The blue cheese stuffed courgette flowers lightly drizzled in honey have aphrodsiac qualities when combined with one of the many finely chosen wines from the well thought out list. Coming from London I was aware of what the chef Brian Villahermosa produced at the Goodge Street restaurant called Salt Yard, so it was a must to visit this new venture in his hometown of Sydney. Recommended A++ Bravo!
