Pleasantly Surprised!!
I first attended Casuarina in Marion Shopping Centre around the time that it first opened. I was not overly impressed with the food or the service at this time and had written the place off as just another Asian food restaurant. A short time ago a friend of mine had travelled over to Adelaide from Thailand and was craving a good laksa meal. After long consideration I decided to take him to Casuarina for lunch. We sat down in the restaurant and as the place was not too busy we had a lovely girl serving us. Upon receiving the food, my friend had stated that the dish was quite mild and did not have enough chilli - to which the waitress bought out the chef and my friend advised him of how hot he wanted it. The dish came back and my poor Thai friend was perspiring!! He loved it!! Since that lunch I have quite often taken friends and business associates there for lunch and dinner and have had fantastic meals with excellent service. The place can be quite loud as it is located within the Shopping Centre mall but this generally adds to the great atmosphere of the place. I find it to be a great location for business lunches as you can generally be seated in an area by yourselves and do not get the feeling that you are being rushed or hurried out the door by the wait staff. An all round excellent dining experience for couples or families that wont break the budget. Will be back for sure!!
