Standing tall on the corner of Maribyrnong Road and Scotia Street, Castello's Waterloo Cup Hotel looks like a classic colonial building on the outside, but right inside lies a series of seriously chic bars. One of them is the 252 Bar, a lounge-filled haven where punters can fill up their wine glasses or schooners. And then there's the Sports Bar, a popular place to catch anything from the footy to the races. The sleek-looking bistro does pub food good justice, offering fare such as chorizo sausage on mash, spinach and ricotta cannelloni, battered King George whiting, and plenty of other steak, seafood, chicken and pasta dishes to boot.
