With queues forming in the morning for the panini stuffed with pancetta and free-range eggs, it can be said this Carlton cafe is a bit of a foodie hotspot. Owner Antonio Nicolini comes in early every morning to bake the piadina, which is then served with any manner of fillings throughout the day. Grab a pizza by the slice on the way home to tide yourself over till teatime, or a coffee with a homemade custard bombolone (an Italian-style doughnut).
