Inside Cargo Bar & Pizza Lounge, chocolate-toned cushioned booths provide the seating beneath sandstone walls and interesting light fittings. The alfresco seating at the front of the restaurant gives interested diners a peek into the kitchen. Don't forget to leave room for dessert; there's a range of sweet pizzas as well as gelato to finish your meal.

Good place to hang out with friends
Went on a hot 30deg Hobart night around 6pm. Had some yummy gelato and sat outside. The gelato bar waitress wasn't that friendly but a friend pointed out that she was behind where the the pizza ovens and other hot things were.
Then we went inside and had some drinks. A friend had a mojito which was very nice and the rest of us just had beers and cider. We ordered a pizza and it came out in like 5-10min, really fast. Maybe because they weren't too busy. The bar staff were really nice.
They have a great selection of gelato and pizza. With a mix of exotic and classic flavours. I think this is an ideal place for socialising with friends. The atmosphere is really relaxed and comfortable. A good hangout for people 20-29, though there are plenty of 30+ people there too.

Family reunioun at Cargo Bar, certainly a different experience
My dining experience at Cargo Bar was not what i expected. Entree was ordered at 7.20pm, after 35 minutes of waiting, i enquired about how much longer we would have to wait only to be told by a rather unhappy waitress "you have only been waiting 30 minutes, it will be another 15 minutes" 20 minutes later our entree arrived. We then had to wait another 60 minutes for 3 pizza's to arrive for the main meal. The food was nice good, no doubting that. Customer service was terrible.
