Albanian-born chef Ervin Mahilaj has opened this sleek but warm, sophisticated but homely pizzeria way down the east end of Darling Street to rapturous acclaim. Locals - families, hipsters, couples and oldies alike - are lapping up the thin-crusted woodfired pizzas with simple but perfectly done toppings like pepperoni, basil and chilli, or double-smoked leg ham and mushroom. But there's plenty more on the menu besides, like the pappardelle with veal ragu and the gorgeous antipasto. The interior is chic but warm with sandstone walls and black tablecloths, and the vibe is relaxed and friendly.
