Cantine

The charms of owner/chef Massimo Arata may be one of the main reasons why people frequent this little cafe but they certainly aren't the only attraction. The relatively cheap cup of (Grinders) coffee definitely helps get people returning here on a regular basis. The fact that Massimo remembers you and your preferred style of caffeine hit after about two visits is also a bonus.

The food itself doesn't hurt the popularity of this place, either. Arguably the best sweet-corn fritters to be found in Sydney are on offer here, served with Cantine's own special chilli relish that is fresh and fragrant, and dances on the palate with ginger and chilli heat.
