This gourmet retreat draws heavily on local produce, with the menu virtually outlining the origins and pedigrees of many of the ingredients. Chef Brad Lobb's menu descriptions are evocative but are not let down by the gastronomic reality. Lobb's rich meals and the surfeit of delicious Macedon Ranges wines positively encourage excess, but any overindulgence can be worked off with a post-prandial stroll around the Edna Walling-designed gardens.
