One of the worst meals in a long time, much the same as the service. Initially friendly, then pushy then absent. Food, bread, water, all late. Plates cleared when we caught a waiter as they all seemed to disappear at 8. Great location but poor food, service, interior let it all down. Way overpriced. Never again

I had a lunch for 30 friends to celebrate my birthday on Good Friday. The service could not have been better. The food was beautiful and the atmosphere was wonderful. We will all definitely be coming back!!!!

6 of us decided to try Campari for the first time and we'll probably never go again. Only 1 of the 6 actually had a decent meal (the salmon), everything else from the swordfish, the prawn and the steak were cooked badly and had little taste.

My wife and I visting Melbourne ate at the Campari and were shocked by the poor standard of both food and service.
The setting looked great but on arrival we were ignored by the staff, had trouble getting a drink and had to go tothe bar to get a glass having requested one twice.
The food was shocking. The seafood pasta had been reheated and the pizza dough was only half cooked.

A very unpleasant experience.

Upon reading some of the reviews below, I had reservations about the venue - hastily organised for a last minute work function.

The venue is plainly NOT for an intimate dinner - if this is your desire, look elsewhere. For a group booking or casual dinner however, I can highly recommend.

Good prompt service from competent wait staff, good food and appropriately priced given the venue's locale.

we had a table of 4 out for dinner on a friday night and the night was fantastic! The food was great, the staff couldn't do enough for us and the price of the meal was quite reasonable i'll def be going back!

Overpriced. Poor quality food. Waitstaff undertrained. We've had better dining experiences at the fish and chip takeaway.

Most restaurants are rated by their cusotmers on the food and service. Yes its great atmosphere being next to the water. However, the quality of the food was very poor. This was for a friends birthday of 20 people or so, not one person was pleased - very disappointing. Staff were lovely but had problems describing the menu.

Upon being shown to our table, we noticed the gentleman beside us making a fuss to the wait staff. "Great," we thought. "This guys's one of those unnecessarily difficult customers."

However, we soon realised that he had every reason to complain.

The staff provided appalling, for want of a better word, service. They were impatient, disrespectful, and indifferent to patrons' requirements (ie. food and drink). They were lazy clearing up plates and didn't even know what "corked wine" was. Honestly.

The worst part was when my main didn't arrive at all, the waiter laughed - laughed! - in my face.

The food is overpriced and the staff undertrained.

Was chosen through the Entertainment Guide. The place was far too busy with not enough staff, incredibly poor service and lack of communication with each waiter telling us a different reason or excuse as to why our food was late, cold, the wrong order. One of the worst dining experiences I have ever had. There were a number of people complaining around us also. I would not be surprised if there were a number of staff resignations after yesterday.

Was annoyed constantly by staff who kept coming back again and again.

At dinner with friends, staff kept hassling us to order and finish our meals even though the restaraunt was nearly empty and there was no good reason to rush us every 5 minutes during our conversation.

Entree platter is tasty with good variety of dipping sauce, my Campari special pizza was nice, unfortunately all other meals were not as special. Paella there was tasteless, salmon dishes were acceptable (after all, salmon is good enough as it is), pasta was way too oily and again tasteless.

In conclusion, not worth the visit for quiet dining out.

Went here with friends for lunch in the hope of a lovely Sunday meal out in the sun. The service was average - nothing to boast about and the decor and atmosphere was much more for mass catering with no personal touch despite being located in a fantastic place. Food was average - paella and gnocchi with oxtail ragout. The lamb shank special in Mediterranean style was a disappointment as although the meat was very tender, it was also very bland. The only thing that shone out was the bottle of wine we had which was obviously unrelated to the restaurant. There is a real need to customise the menu and to provide a higher quality of service. Nothing to boast about.

Inexperienced staff was the main problem with this restaurant! With the prices they charge you should expect good service but instead our night went from bad to worse. Our drinks were very slow coming (some never arrived at all, others were were wrong). Overall some of our party thought the food was ok but others were disappointed, definitely not worth the money they charge. We asked for parmesan cheese with our pasta and it arrived just as we had finished. Staff had no idea who ordered what and meals were misplaced. We actually wrote a letter to pass on to the manager so we hope he received this and will try and improve.

The atmosphere was our only positive experience! They forgot our booking but did find a seat right away. Drinks were very late calamari was rubbery. Mains arrived while we were finishing starters, steak was average and my red to go with it came with my last mouthful. I couldn't eat my lemon meringue.

As soon as we sat down at our table and saw the sachets of Vegemite on a saucer we were pretty put off. We ordered a "Big Breakfast" and bacon and eggs. Scrambled eggs were really over cooked, sausage was tiny, toast horrible.

Our first time at this restaurant, we had a seafood tapas entree to share - great chilli prawns. She then had the snapper and I had a huge rib eye perfectly cooked to medium rare. The service was great, our waiter attentive without being obtrusive even though it was very busy. We sat overlooking the dockside under the awning, watching the boats and people come and go most of the afternoon. Not expensive. We will be back often as 'she who must be obeyed' loved it.

We phoned and booked an outside table. AND re-confirmed on the day. When we arrived we were shown to an inside table. Complained and were eventually moved. Did not get a drink on our table till we'd been there for 40 minutes, despite repeated requests. Asked for water four times throughout the evening and it finally came after our last request over an hour and a half later. The food was average and after we'd shared some tapas we were never asked if we'd like to order anything more, or whether everything was OK - a terrible experience from start to finish - NEVER AGAIN.

The food was very well presented, especially considering the very reasonable prices. Great outdoor area with a good view of the water. Would recommend the restaurant for its excellent service and high quality food.
