A bustling little cafe opposite Caulfield Park that's frequented by locals, joggers, dog walkers (pets welcome) and laptop users (there's free WiFi available), Uffizi offers a little bit of everything, managing to be exactly what you want in a local, casual caf. In the mornings the Shakshuka, a Middle Eastern breakfast of two eggs in a spiced tomato sauce and baked in a clay pot, served with homemade laffa bread, is a winner, and for those with a little sweet tooth, the rhubarb and strawberry compote with yoghurt and granola, hits the spot. Come lunchtime, the Uffizi burger is pretty hard to beat, and what with the relaxed vibe, the dog-friendly policy and the WiFi, there's not really much reason to leave in between.
