There's no shortage of Italian cafes in Melbourne, yet Caffe Panette continues to stand out. Soul food to die for with a focus on Italian faves. Good coffee in an easy atmosphere make this place a winner.

A great place for brekkie before the market
I've been enjoying breakie at Panette on a Sat or Sun morning prior to my market shop since before I can remember. The atmosphere, coffee (some of the best in Melb - great to see the return of their great Barista) and generous breakfasts are great. Speedy, friendly service and reasonable prices. The best of Melbourne's cafe lifestyle right opposite the market. Plenty of parking on market roof top for me.

It's Not About PRAMS
PRAM policy only applies weekends - I go to Caffe Panette during the week to enjoy their beautiful coffee the new barista makes the most wonderful lattes consistently it can get very busy with coffee orders and take aways though he makes every coffee with ease and at the correct temperature. The babycinos are a hit with my little one. Stunning coffee and food. Keep up the great work. It's not about prams it's more flavour and an amazing atmosphere. Smiles all round and excellent service. I will always visit and the pram policy makes sense to me anyway - just go to another Caffe if that what to takes. Life is far to short.

Parents beware - "Prams not welcome on weekends"
May be great coffee, food could be incredible, but we will never know as today we were told we were not welcome in Caffe Panette as we had a pram. I was both astonished and disgusted that we were not even offered a table outside when there were multiple tables empty (inside and out). Our son may only be in a pram for a few years, but we will NEVER go back and may I suggest that other parents vote with their prams and boycott such a discriminating establishment. Funny that it is only on weekends, bet they don't mention it during the week when so many Mums and bubs are out on their morning walks and stopping for a babychino!
