This narrow Italian cafe looks like a welcoming local trattoria, despite being in the middle of the CBD. The tables inside are neat and linen-clothed, and alfresco diners can enjoy the village atmosphere of Block Place with its bustling pavement activity and row of awnings. The menu features an approachable selection of simple Italian meals, from antipasto to a chicken, pancetta and mushroom risotto, or lamb with roasted capsicum, rocket and olive tapenade. A small range of focaccias offer a casual bite, while breakfasters are treated to gourmet brekkies such as Sardinian eggs.
