Cafeteria is the tasty child of Eugene Lavery, formerly of Lynch's and the Windsor, and Eugene Ljutic, a former proprietor of Malvern's Sugo. Occupying a sunny corner in the heart of the Black Rock shopping centre, this friendly cafe-come-restaurant is a favourite with locals who enjoy a selection of breakfasts, lunches and all-day snacks.
The menu features treats such as toasted ciabatta; house-blend muesli with vanilla almonds; and hot chicken meatballs with mushroom, basil and olive oil bread for which Cafeteria is well renowned. Soup of the day changes frequently, and if you're in the mood for comfort foods try the roast pumpkin, fetta and olive risotto; or sure fave 'mac 'n' cheese' with ham and parmesan. The wine list boasts 19 varieties with cheese platters to accompany a quiet afternoon drink. Light and regular beer, cocktails and T2 herbal mixes also available. The service is personal and kids are welcome with a child-friendly menu of toast soldiers and banana pancakes to tempt tiny mouths.

wow
The food at this place is always of an exceptional standard with dishes you always look forward to. I have one complaint though.Please replace those most uncomfortable chairs, they are the worst ever.
